Material World

Whether you need a sign manufactured from timber, Perspex, a range of metals, or even one of a range of plastics or laminates, Reade Signs can deliver to your exact specifications.

Manufacturing

We thrive on the challenge of manufacturing signage in a variety of materials. Our skilled in-house staff, in combination with our up-to-date machinery and technology, can construct signs that match perfectly your requirements and the specific features of any location.

Metal

Fabrication, manufacture, finish (polishing and painting), spraying, welding, full fabrication facilities, individual letters, structures.

At Reade Signs, we're set up to work with a wide range of metals and can create whatever size or shape you need. If you need it, our full fabrication and welding facilities can build it: large structures, canopies, monolith signs, entrance signs to retail parks, fascias, and even individual letters. We'll also add a powder coating or sprayed finish.

Whatever shape or size of metal sign we produce, you can be certain that it will have the strength and longevity necessary to fulfil its function.

Timber

Timber has long been a traditional signage component and is still used in country park signs or to convey a more rural and rustic look.

Reade Signs has the skills and machinery to manufacture timber signage that meets all the demands of your location and purpose. We'll design timber structures, too, and all our work can be stained or painted, shaped, or hand-tooled.

Painting

Painting your hoardings or sales office interiors gives you the flexibility to change the colours and designs to match seasons or special promotions quickly and easily.

At Reade Signs, we specialise in painting weather-proof hoardings that can be executed in your corporate style or designed to match perfectly the brand look and feel of your development. And, to ensure your hoardings last, we also apply a special anti-graffiti seal.

We'll paint your sales office interiors to co-ordinate with the internal specification and furnishings and to emphasise any point of sales displays.

Having Reade Signs manage and perform the painting work frees your project managers to focus on more important tasks, secure in the knowledge that the hoardings and interiors are taken care of.

Routing

Our in-house hi-tech machinery lets us perform all our own cutting, no matter the material. So, when you need your sign to stand out that little bit extra - in 3D, for instance - Reade Signs can oblige.

Some of the materials that pass through our routing shop on a regular basis include aluminium, brass, plastics, laminates, and wood. Even polystyrene or stainless steel presents no problem for our staff and equipment.

Plastics

Perspex can be a cost-effective alternative to metal. It offers vibrant colours and durability, and with the benefits of illumination and the fact that it can easily be formed and routed to shape - including individual letters - makes it especially suited to internal displays.

Our in-house construction team have the skills to work with Perspex to produce a full range of high impact signage. We're expert in flame polishing, bending, and creating display panels, fascias, and lettering.

Foamex is a closed cell impact-resistant Foamboard, which can be a more cost-effective substitute for Perspex, and is suitable for both internal and external use. It's available in a range of colours and in a variety of thicknesses from 1mm to 20mm. Reade Signs always have stock of Foamex available and our construction team can shape the material to a design that matches your needs. The finished product accepts vinyl text and digital print, making it ideal for point of sale displays.

Correx is a fluted plastic material, which is also suitable for both internal & external use and is available in a range of colours. It is available off the shelf and is best used for short period work or multiple screen print jobs, such as "temporary directionals". (We may need to apply a minimum quantity rule for some orders.)

Screen Printing

Screen printing is a cost-effective method of producing multiple signage.

Even with today's advanced digital technology, screen printing still enjoys a number of advantages, especially where large areas of solid colour are required. It's possible to print on virtually any surface and the process really comes into its own in the production of multiple signage ('stock' health and safety and warning signage, for example). The inks are very durable, so shelf life is excellent and we can print off long runs (which keeps set up costs down) and store for call off, as and when they are required.

Digital Media

The Reade Signs in-house production facility is perfect for printing large format digital images onto any material, whether it's canvas, banners, posters, or even printed wallpaper.

We use only the latest digital printing technology and specialise in low volume runs. Production process: produce full colour imagery on large scale at low cost. Limitless.
